Resident Evil 5 Easy Money
I've had this game for a few days now and completed the storyline, now I'm working my way through it on Veteran and am starting to struggle, so I chose to farm a chapter, I chose 4-1 because it has loads of gold and treasures, and the boss is easy to kill with a land mine supplied in the level.
Its taking me 20-25mins to go through the level and I'm getting about 32k from it.
I'm just wondering if you've found any better places to farm money, I'm not really bothered about points as I love playing mercs with my housemate and I seem to be getting a fair few from that.
There must be some places with a nicely placed checkpoint so you can just repeatedly kill a boss to get one of them 10k gems, then quit and re-enter to re-kill the same boss.
Chapter 5-2.
Get up to the point where you have to go through the U shaped corridor with the lickers. Kill all of them and get the 5 Lion Hearts.
Quit immediately after doing it, make sure you don't go through the door at the end.
Then from the main menu select 'Continue' and you will start just before the corridor so you can go through and kill them all again.
Gets 12,500 credits for about 2 minutes play. Much easier than having to do 4-1 over and over like I did before I read about the above.

+rep. I used the previous method, but I'm gonna use this one now 
Chapter 3-1, you can cruise through it in like 13 minutes and you can get about 50'000 gold if you do it right.
Why don't you get someone to do the egg trick for you? I got 2'000'000 dollars in about 30 minutes. Farming sucks because you seriously need about 1'600'000 points or more to buy and unlock all the guns and upgrade them. Trust me, farming takes too long.
4-1 was the best. Even better if you do it in professional mode.
There are alot of places to "farm" 5-2, 2-1, etc.
The who underground temple is the best though.
I guess my point was that Farming sucks because in order to unlock all upgrades and buy everything you need more than a million dollars in the game. Little chunks of money here and there for hours on end is pretty lame in comparison to the egg trick.
Yeah, you can do the egg glitch offline too, 90 000 in 3 minutes.
I found a rotten egg about an hour and a half ago, I now have all weapons, all fully upgraded. I agree, its much better and faster than farming, but if you don't have a rotten egg it'll take twice as long with a golden egg.
I got all my weapons upgraded the legit way and it took me a few days of continuously redoing 4-1.
I don't see how farming is legit, in the time line of the game chris and sheva didn't go back in time 30 or 40 times to collect treasure. Stopping and saving gold, quitting out and doing it all over again, that's no worse or better than using the rotten egg trick.
I beat the game on veteran and on professional with no egg trick or farming and then decided to do the egg trick to completely finish everything I needed.

Never did I say it was good or bad. All I said is that I didn't trick the game, that is all.
I would say farming is as legit as the egg trick.

Yeah, I tried farming a few chapters, it works, but after I realized how much money you need to get everything I just decided it was a waste of time. Playing the same chapter over and over again really blows in comparison to spending 30 minutes getting all the money you'd ever need.
Best advice is the egg trick, by a mile. Play the game at least on veteran without the egg trick, and make the choice after that.

That is, unless you wanna spend about 3 days doing chapters over and over. Maybe that killed the game for me for a while.
More fun to do the chapters over and over. That way aswell as actually earning the treasure "properly", how it was meant to be done, you can also kept trying to beat your fastest time etc.

Now that I have everything maxed out,
I have no need for my money anymore.
also doing the levels over earns you points to be used unlocking unlimited ammo for your weapons.
Egg trick is strictly for money.

Well, that and Mercenaries.
If you are good at Mercs. you will get at least 2,000 each time.
Yeah, doing levels over again can help as well.
The levels are fun as hell, so there isn't a problem there.

i was the same, i needed no money at all on my professional playthrough. So i spent it all on First Aid Spray :lol: Ended my playthrough with more than 200 of them in my inventory :lol:

lol yeah, i have treasure of every kind piling up that i havent sold.
i dont even bother because i know i cant do anything with the money.
i dont even buy first aids, i dont use them..
i am still used to the whole rank system of the old games.
I have platumin in RE5 and no rotten egg trick.
Just played with friends and just got the money along the way, never purposely went to a level to farm it. Just got the money along the way.
And I have nothing to spend it on now . Just a load of first aid sprays

Get someone with rotten eggs and go into a game,
have them give you the eggs and then quit and save
while they quit and dont save.
keep doing it as long as you want i guess
until you have the amount that you want.

Same here. Would be beautiful to get a SP DLC later on, such as a few new chapters with some more unlockables like weapons and items.

How can you do the glitch offline?? i know the 360 you can but how do you do it on the PS3??

I also played 5-2 over and over to upgrade all my weapons its the fasted way to make money without doing this egg glitch trick thing, But its best when you have a good infinite weapon like the L.Hawk or rocket laucher.. Havent played for a while but need 3 trophies to platinum.
SHINIGAMIBOY- you cant do this glitch offline on the ps3 as you cant sign in with a second account.. Play the game and enjoy and upgrade the weapons the hard way its more fun....
